Dr. Wynand E. van Tonder is a Sub-Specialist Reproductive Medicine and Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist specialising in reproductive medicine and endoscopic surgery at The HOPE Clinic at Sandton Mediclinic, Bryanston, Johannesburg.
Dr van Tonder obtained his undergraduate training at the University of Bloemfontein and then went on to obtain his specialistion in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Free State.
Due to his passion and feeling a deep need to help childless couples fulfill their dreams and prayers to be parents, Dr. van Tonder pursued further training where he achieved his Masters Degree in Biotechnology of Human Assisted Reproduction and Embryology through the IVI Institute Valencia, Spain.
Dr. van Tonder has a special interest in the management of all stages of endometriosis. This proved his passion when he achieved a 100% for his thesis while obtaining his Masters Degree in in Valencia, Spain on the topic “The management options of Endometriosis in infertility”
He further went on to obtain fellowships specializing in endoscopic surgery through the institute IRCAD, based in France.
With his comprehensive knowledge and training as a specialist, he has helped many patients seeking the wonderful journey of parenthood to become a reality.
